The
Manager - Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company's HSE program. This role ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations and safety standards. The Manager - Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) will work closely with all departments to identify and mitigate potential hazards, promote a safe and healthy work environment, and minimize the company's environmental impact.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and programs Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address hazards Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions Provide training and education to employees on safety and environmental regulations Manage and maintain all required environmental permits and registrations Develop and implement emergency response plans Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics Work with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related field Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree Experience:
5+ years of experience in environmental health and safety management in a manufacturing setting Previous experience as an HSE Manager in a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and problem-solving skills IATF and ISO 14001 experience Experience with environmental permitting and compliance Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and transportation Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Experience and Certifications:
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) Automotive industry experience
