Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead DeltaV Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and support of Emerson DeltaV Distributed Control Systems (DCS) in various projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
Project Management:
Lead the engineering team in the development and execution of DeltaV DCS projects from concept to completion. Coordinate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources. System Design and Implementation:
Design and configure DeltaV systems to meet specific process requirements. Develop control strategies, graphics, and operator interfaces. Implement and test system configurations, including hardware and software components. Ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Technical Leadership:
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians. Conduct technical reviews and ensure the quality of engineering deliverables. Stay updated with the latest advancements in DeltaV technology and industry trends. Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare detailed engineering documents, including design specifications, test protocols, and user manuals. Generate progress reports and present project status to management and clients. Maintain accurate records of all engineering activities and system configurations. Troubleshooting and Support:
Provide on-site and remote support for DeltaV systems, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Perform system maintenance, upgrades, and optimizations to enhance performance and reliability. Assist in the development and execution of system validation and commissioning activities. Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering field. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in DeltaV DCS engineering, with a focus on design, implementation, and support. Strong knowledge of Emerson DeltaV systems, including hardware, software, and networking components. Proven experience in leading engineering projects and managing teams. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel as needed for project requirements. Nice to have, but not required
Experience in the pharmaceutical, oil and gas, or chemical industries. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards, such as FDA, GMP, and ISA. Certification in DeltaV or related control systems. Proficiency in related software tools and programming languages.
