This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. As a Pricing Analyst, you will be responsible for working cross-functionally with Legal, Account Management, and Finance on contract development and pricing strategies. The role has a strong focus on ensuring contracts are consistent with overall pricing strategies, maximizing profitability, assuring customer satisfaction, meeting legal guidelines, and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system. This position requires a motivated self-starter, driven by Accomplishment and accountability with strong attention to detail and adaptable to changing requirements and priorities.
This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.
What You'll Do
Quantifying the financial impacts of contracting and business strategy scenarios. Proactively monitor pricing performance and advise management of trends and/or necessary actions. Qualify sales opportunity for appropriate business contracting arrangement while providing decision support to sales and marketing teams. Managing pricing data and administering pricing data systems. Develop, draft, review, amend, evaluate, and negotiate contracts and contract terms. Implementing contracts into data systems (ModelN, SFDC, etc.), maintaining contracting data sets, and ensure accuracy of system data. Providing timely updates to management and assist with administration if necessary. Able to manage multiple deadlines in a high pressure work environment. Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and performing other duties as assigned by management Interface with other functional groups to ensure consistency and integrity in contract processing. EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree required. Major in business discipline preferred. Two (2) years of related work experience is required, or Master's degree with two (2) years of related work experience. Knowledge of and experience in contracting and/or pricing philosophies. Position requires strong balance of interpersonal, conceptual and analytical skills resulting from education and work experience. PREFERRED:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Knowledge of contract negotiations, documents, and specifications. Market Access knowledge preferred. Attention to detail and accuracy, sound judgment. Strong communication skills. Intellectual curiosity and problem-solving skills. Ability to understand the organization's strategy and translate into day-to-day activities. Ability to facilitate interpretation and understanding of data, identify risks, draw relevant conclusions, summarize and communicate results effectively, develop recommendations and implement solutions. Ability to consistently provide clear and concise written and verbal communication. Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team. Ability to interface comfortably and effectively with all levels of management within the organization and external customers.
