Skillset Storage - NetApp/Dell EMC Powerstore/Unity/Powermax/VMAX/XtremIO/ISILON/Brocade SAN Switch, storage array from HP (Nimble) Skillset Backup - Veritas NetBackup/Veritas Appliance/Ops Center/Druva/Data Domain/Tape Library Skillset Cloud - AWS & Azure Cloud services related to Storage and Backup Roles & Responsibilities Storage - • Proficiency with Enterprise class storage administration - Dell EMC PowerStore/ PMAX/ VMAX/VNX/UNITY/ISILON/ECS/XIO & NetApp CMODE, HPE (Nimble) • Hands on experience with Business continuity replication services like SRDF, Time Finder Clone. • Managing SAN environment with Brocade Director, Core & Edge switches of different models • Hands on in upgrading SAN switch firmware & code upgrade on different storage arrays. • Performance monitoring & resolving bottlenecks with respect to fabric, storage arrays, & hosts. • Understanding of thin & thick provisioning & reclaiming storage, masking, zoning, unzoning & expansion as per requirements. • Creation of Storage Metrics report for capacity planning. • Comfortable with configuration of data protection using Snapshots, Snapmirror, SYNCIQ. • Configuration of Aggregates, Qtree, Volumes, LUNs on NetApp filer. • Hands on knowledge on CIFS, SMB, NFS protocols. • Creation of Access Zones, File Shares (SMB/NFS/Multi Protocol)& managing permissions, access & Quota on Isilon • Comfortable with different tools like CMCNE, SANnav, Unisphere, SYMCLI, OCUM, Security Explorer, InsightIQ & AppSync. • Experience with data migration techniques for both Block & File storage using robocopy, emcopy • In depth knowledge of ITIL processes like Incident management, Problem management, Change management. • Ability to handle Critical issues independently. • Coordinate with vendor technical support for hardware & software break fix. • Knowledge of automation tools & Certification on EMC technology is an added advantage. Backup - • Installation, configuration & upgradation of backup environment comprising- Veritas NetBackup 10x, Veritas Appliance, EMC Data Domain, Tape libraries • Configuring policies, storage units, & volume pools as per requirement. • Monitor daily backup failures & recovery operations & resolving issues. • Monitor disk & tape backup environment to make sure 100% availability. • Expert in new implementation of NetBackup infrastructure & hardware refresh. • Manage configuration of disk backups, MSDP pool management, Media management & vault management. • Good Understanding of different backup configuration - VMware, MS Windows, Oracle, NDMP, MS Exchange. • Hands on expertise on NetBackup version Upgrades, Data Domain DDOS & Appliance OS upgrade as per recommendation. • Experience in configuring Data Domain replication for DR, DDboost, SQLboost. • Performance monitoring & fine-tuning NetBackup parameters. • Understanding of Storage Lifecycle Policies & Duplication configuration. • Knowledge of Ops Center Analytics for alerting & reporting. • Basic understanding of Windows Server & Linux/AIX Operating system. • Vendor management for hardware & software break fix. • Druva Phoenix (saas) Cloud backup configuration, monitoring & troubleshooting of different workloads like VMware, File Server, NAS, SQL, Oracle • Maintain Healthy Backup success rate and SLA. Cloud - • Experience on different AWS services like VPC, EC2, EBS, EFS, S3, AWS Backup, QuickSight, FSx, FSxN, Storage Gateway, DataSync, SnowCone, VPC Endpoints, Security Groups,Support Center, Marketplace, SNS, CloudWatch, DDVE • Experience on Azure services like Virtual Machines, Backup Center, ANF, Azure Files
