Description

  • Provide data analysis and validation in developing customizations and reports for all district network systems related to special education (SPED) students, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Manage multiple projects and lead the collection, preprocessing, and analysis of large-scale datasets from various sources to compile, analyze, and share district level reports with stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement systems for gathering data related to federal reporting requirements for special education students and SPED teachers, including teacher certifications for annual reporting to TEA.
  • Develop and manage staffing and leveling processes for SPED staff by coordinating with departments such as HCM, School Leadership, Demographics,

    and Budget, and providing detailed student and personnel data analysis.
  • Support efforts to ensure data quality and integrity districtwide by applying data governance best practices, including verifying PEIMS reporting data.
  • Apply advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in SPED data to inform accountability reporting and instructional strategies.
  • Design and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to effectively communicate insights to various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with district database administrators to modify and enhance existing software systems to ensure compliance and performance, including applications used for special education assessments.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in data analysis, continuously improving the department's analytical capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Master's Degree from an accredited university preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis or a similar role, with demonstrated expertise in statistical analysis and data visualization.
  • Proficiency in SQL for complex data manipulation and querying.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all district stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple project

    imultaneously.
