What you'll do:
As a Dental Assistant you will work to enhance the daily operations of the clinic by providing excellent care and communication to our patients. As a Dental Assistant you will:
- Prepares, sterilizes, disinfects, and maintains dental equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Collects and records patient health histories and x-rays.
- Ensures patient comfort during dental procedures.
- Prepares dental materials (cements, amalgam, composite, impression materials, etc.).
- Completes charting of treatment information in the patients' dental notes from the doctor as directed.
- Assist doctor in management of medical and dental emergencies.
- Clean and polish removable devices.
- Delivers postoperative and general oral care instructions to patient.
- Maintains infection control procedures, patient privacy, and professional interactions with patients and staff.
- Assist administrative team with customer service functions.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program or 1 year of dental assistant experience preferred.
- Previous customer service or office experience.
- Proficiency or the ability to become proficient within 90 days in dental terminology and dental. software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Foster a positive attitude and be a team player.
