Position Summary
Guggenheim Securities ("GS") is seeking an experienced Vice President to join its Leveraged Finance group in New York.
The Leveraged Finance group is a rapidly growing and critically important strategic initiative for Guggenheim Securities. Over the past several years, the Leveraged Finance team has raised capital and acted as sole or lead-left arranger / bookrunner on numerous financing transactions for our public, private, and sponsor-backed clients. We partner seamlessly with our preeminent industry teams to provide clients with thoughtful capital structure solutions, tailored to meet their objectives. Typical transactions include structuring, marketing, and negotiating asset-based credit facilities, secured / unsecured loans, mezzanine, and HoldCo debt. In addition, on many of the firm's M&A transactions, the Leveraged Finance team serves as an integrated part of the deal team to support the acquisition financing package. The team also works with Guggenheim affiliates to provide committed financing for both syndicated and private debt issuances
Guggenheim's Vice Presidents play a critical role in the origination and execution of our financing transactions, evolving and enhancing our client and lender relationships and acting as a product partner to our Investment Banking industry and Financial Sponsor coverage teams. Our Vice Presidents benefit tremendously from the experience and close partnership they have with our Senior Managing Directors and Managing Directors, and will be expected to lead day-to-day execution of our financing transactions under their guidance

Essential Job Functions Lead day-to-day deal execution and project management on a range of financing transactions Drive long-term client relationship development through effective dialogue with client leadership teams Develop and oversee financial and accounting analyses, as well as help identify, research, and analyze financing opportunities Acquisition finance commitment evaluation, including opportunity screening, underwriting memos, and commitment paper review / negotiation in conjunction with our affiliates Monitor, interpret, and present current debt capital market trends Lead client meetings and drafting sessions Maintain working knowledge of multiple client sectors, monitor key industry drivers, and assemble insights to support and enhance financing advisory services and new business development initiatives Identify improvements to processes and propose solutions to complete group tasks more efficiently Demonstrate understanding of macro factors related to client sectors and investment banking and potential implications Act as lead "on the job" trainer for Associates and Analysts, articulating roles and objectives for junior team members and providing constructive feedback Act as financing advisor for clients of core accounts in conjunction with senior bankers Transaction evaluation, preparation, due diligence, and execution, as well as managing the preparation of marketing materials including teasers, information memoranda, and other transaction-related documentation Generate potential ideas and new business opportunities for clients to help solve problems whether using advisory or capital market solutions Share relevant deal / client context with the junior team and provide motivation and guidance for the team Ensure all activity is compliant with Guggenheim Securities' applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures Preferred Qualifications
Deep knowledge of and experience specifically executing leveraged finance and/or structured equity transactions across a variety of sectors Significant level of maturity and the ability to work as a team interfacing with top company executives and senior management Effective communicator - verbal, written, and virtual Agile leader that can exercise sound judgment under pressure Mature teammate with the ability to develop relationships with senior-level colleagues and clients Teaching orientation with strong desire to mentor and train junior teammates - ability to be player-coach as needed Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (Business / Economics concentration preferred, but not required) and/or Master of Business Administration from a distinguished academic institution 6+ years of professional experience 4+ years of Leveraged Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Financial Sponsors, or similar type roles within an investment bank with specific experience arranging / executing privately negotiated (non-syndicated) capital raises; sell-side M&A advisory experience is also a plus SIE Exam, Series 79 and Series 63 must be acquired within 150 days of employment Work Location
Currently, this role is expected to be in the New York office at least 4 days per week. Salary
Annual base salary between $250,000 and $275,000. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
