TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in Washington, Washington DC, 20010 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent PICU or CVPICU experience License: Valid state license required; pending license accepted with conditions Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: Strong PICU experience; comfortable floating to CVPICU, NICU, and PICU Job Description: - Provide exceptional care in a pediatric critical care setting. - Work within a critical care float pool, covering NICU, PICU, and CVPICU units. - Manage patient ratios typically between 1:1 or 1:2; potential 1:3 in NICU. - Open to blocked scheduling, especially for weekend commitments. - Participate in a rotating schedule, requiring every other weekend and holiday work. - Accommodate hospital needs by floating within the scope of practice. - Adhere to all current COVID-19 vaccine requirements; booster required with no exemptions. - Follow all compliance and module completion guidelines before orientation. - Non-smoking facility adherence with strict enforcement. - Ensure a friendly and professional image in child-friendly scrubs. - Strong preference for applicants with relevant references. - Maintain high standards as part of a Magnet/Teaching Level I Trauma hospital. - Demonstrate proficiency with Cerner charting systems. - Orientation dates available throughout the remainder of the year.
