TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28203 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Job Specialty: Pediatric Oncology/Hematology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night (7 PM - 7 AM) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Pediatric Oncology License: Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of practice; if declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as the primary state of residency, meet the licensure requirements of the home state. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, APHON Chemo, PALS Must-Have: - APHON Chemo Certification - Proficiency in IV therapy, bone marrow procedures, spinal taps, thoracenteses, paracenteses, and phlebotomy is preferred. Oncology certification is preferred. Job Description: - Collect data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or situation. - Analyze assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues. - Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or situation. - Develop a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes. - Implement the identified plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. - Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers following applicable legal or policy parameters. - Evaluate progress toward the attainment of goals and outcomes. - Practice in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles. - Communicate effectively in all areas of practice. - Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing practice. - Demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession. - Seek knowledge and competence that reflect current nursing practice and promote futuristic thinking. - Integrate evidence and research findings into practice. - Contribute to quality nursing practice. - Evaluate one's own and others' nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations. - Utilize appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and fiscally responsible. - Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner. - Practice ethically. - Promote shared governance or facility decision-making activities, developing and nurturing research to positively affect clinical outcomes and promotion. Physical Requirements: - Ability to walk, stand, sit, lift, reach, stoop, bend, push, and pull. - Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. - Must have an intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, and touch, with finger dexterity. - Critical thinking and the ability to concentrate. - Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
