About Us:
Designer Builders Inc. combines two generations of construction experience in general contracting. We are currently looking for a full-time Carpenter, preferably with cabinet-making/finishing experience and 5+ years of work in the renovation/construction field.

Position Overview:
You will be responsible for performing a variety of carpentry tasks, including rough framing, finishing, cabinetry, and other carpentry services. You will instruct and oversee the daily tasks of carpentry assistants. Your ability to manage, attention to detail, and commitment to safety will ensure every job is completed efficiently and to client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and assemble framing and trim components, tile, siding, and other materials
• Install doors, windows, cabinetry, trim, and flooring
• Read and interpret project plans and section drawings
• Work with power tools safely and effectively
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Communicate with project managers, clients, and team members regarding job progress and needs
• Comply with safety regulations and industry standards

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a skilled carpenter, with a strong portfolio of work
• Proficient with a wide range of carpentry tools and equipment
• Ability to read and understand project plans, schematics, and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in construction
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in custom woodworking or cabinetry
• Experience in residential remodeling
• Working understanding of sub-trades such as electrical, plumbing, etc.
