TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Endoscopy RN in Rockford, Illinois, 61108 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: GI Lab Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-hour days, Monday to Friday, with rotating call on weeknights, weekends, and holidays Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years in GI License: Active RN License (State-Specific) Certifications: BLS required, ACLS recommended Must-Have: - Experience with moderate sedation - IV skills - EPIC experience - Good communication skills - Team player - Organized and flexible Job Description: - Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, and Bronchoscopy. - Administer and monitor patients receiving moderate sedation. - Utilize Olympus scopes, video systems, and Pyxis medication systems. - Use the electronic health record system, EPIC, for charting. - Participate in orientation and training, paired with a preceptor. - Participate in shared call duties among 4 RNs, with call every 4-6 weekdays and every 4-6 weekends. - Work in a unit with 4 procedure rooms and a 3-bed recovery area. - Maintain a focus on both inpatient and outpatient procedures with an average daily number of procedures around 12. - Wear any color of scrubs as part of the dress code. - Understand and adhere to a drug-free campus policy, including a requirement for a negative drug screen for all panels.
