Job Description

Role: Automation Tester

Duration: 6+ Months

Rate: $45/hr on C2C (Max)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Candidate must have minimum 2 years of hands-on Selenium (WebDriver) coding experience in creating functions, methods, and programs.
2. 2-3 years of experience analyzing, designing, and implementing integration solutions using J2EE technologies or related technologies, and 4+ years overall IT.
3. Key technology experience in areas such as Java and/or C#, J2EE, XML, SOA, REST, JSON.
4. Knowledge of change management tools, like Subversion.
5. Knowledge of Continuous Integration tools (OpenSource or commercially available such as Bamboo or Jenkins).
6. Previous experience with automation tools such as JUnit, SOAPUI, Selenium (WebDriver).
7. Must have experience with Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing phases.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing Agile environment.
9. Must have knowledge and understand fundamental concepts of Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD), Automated Testing (GUI and backend), User Acceptance Testing.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

1. Candidate must be a team player and work closely with other automation developers to build/support Automation Framework.
2. Candidate should have solid understanding of object-oriented programming languages (Java or C#) to learn and understand the existing Selenium automation framework to automate Web applications.
3. Candidate should have experience on automation result analysis and generate automation result reports.
4. Candidate should be able to improve and work within a highly advanced test automation system that supports multiple daily builds on several distinct projects.
5. Candidate should have ability to learn new techniques and technologies quickly.
6. Experience with a wide variety of testing tools and techniques that are commercially available or that are OpenSource (examples: HP's QTP, JUnit, Selenium-WebDriver, Geb, Cucumber, and Spock).
7. Strong written and communication skills.

Professional Requirements:

1. Professional consulting experience and background beneficial.
2. Proven strong innovative and analytical ability with extensive implementation experience.
3. Must be a team player and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
4. Must be flexible in working with team members at all levels of experience.
5. Must be supportive of the Agile methodology while understanding change requires gradual acceptance and implementation.
6. Must be fully competent to work under general direction on complex projects usually on specific assigned projects, issues, and problems.
