ROLE OVERVIEW: As Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you'll optimize production processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure manufacturing excellence for our medical device portfolio. You'll lead DFM efforts, implement cost-saving measures, and maintain quality standards in our regulated environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Spearhead process optimization and automation initiatives
- Develop and validate manufacturing procedures aligned with ISO/FDA requirements
- Drive cost reduction through innovative manufacturing solutions
- Lead equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and new product transitions
- Design fixtures and tooling to enhance production efficiency
- Manage documentation including work instructions and engineering changes
- Provide technical leadership for production support and problem resolution
- Partner with R&D on manufacturability and cost optimization
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in medical devices
- Proven expertise in Six Sigma and Lean methodologies
- Strong foundation in engineering drawings, specifications, and process planning
- Experience with SolidWorks and technical documentation
- Machine shop knowledge (milling, turning, grinding) valued
- Excellence in problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration
- Strong analytical skills and self-motivated work style
