Travel Nurse RN - PACU/Pre-Post Op in Quincy, IL

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4x9 Nights, 36 hours per week Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years in pre-op and/or recovery of surgical patients License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Minimum of 2 years experience in pre-op and recovery of surgical patients Job Description: - Provide preoperative care for surgical patients, including obtaining weights, vitals, assessment, IV insertion, and pre-medication administration. - Manage Phase 1 recovery, focusing on vitals monitoring, patient assessments, pain control, and post-operative nausea/vomiting management. - Conduct Phase 2 recovery, including vitals monitoring, patient assessments, patient education, and preparation for discharge. - Work in a multi-specialty surgery center covering GI, general, ENT, plastics, dental, orthopedic, podiatry, gynecology, urology, and ophthalmology. - Collaborate in a facility with 4 operating rooms, 6 Phase 1 bays, and 14 Phase 2 rooms, handling an average caseload of 15-20 patients per day. - Utilize the Allscripts - Sunrise charting system effectively. - Available for either five 8-hour shifts or four 9-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with no call, holiday, weekend, or night requirements.
