SFFILM is a nonprofit organization whose mission ensures independent voices in film are welcomed, heard, and given the resources to thrive. SFFILM connects and inspires audiences, students and teachers, and filmmakers through our film exhibition, youth education, and artist development programs. ABOUT THE POSITION The Director of Development is a strategic leader in SFFILM’s commitment to attracting, retaining, and engaging relationships and partnerships to support our mission-driven work through financial and in-kind contributions. Leading a year-round team of five and seasonal staff as needed, the Director is a primary architect in the design and deployment of SFFILM’s fundraising activities and operations for individual, corporate, foundation, and government support. The Director reports to the Executive Director and is a member of SFFILM’s senior leadership team. Working closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors, the Director will create and execute annual and multi-year philanthropic strategies to increase contributed revenue from individual donors, corporate partners, and foundations. This position, in collaboration with the Executive Director and the senior leadership team, will steward and solicit current and prospective Board Members and major donors. Additionally, the Director will also be responsible for oversight of fundraising initiatives, including SFFILM’s annual event Awards Night.
