SAIC is seeking a motivated and self-driven Windows Infrastructure Engineer/Administrator to support an essential customer mission area and organization. The position requires someone to work both individually and in a team environment to complete deadline-driven tasks. The candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining Windows-based systems and networks, providing technical support to users, and ensuring the security and reliability of the infrastructure.
Responsibilities/Functions:

The position requires someone to work both individually and in a team environment to complete deadline-driven tasks. The candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining Windows-based systems and networks, providing technical support to users, and ensuring the security and reliability of the infrastructure.
Responsibilities/Functions:
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based operating systems, servers and applications
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance and network connectivity issues
- Implement and manage security protocols and firewalls to protect against cyber threats
- Deploy and manage software updates, patches, and antivirus software
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
- Create and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures
- Provide technical support to end users, which may include HW and SW troubleshooting and resolution
- Collaborate with other IT teams to design and implement new technologies and solutions
- Ability to flex hours as required to support mission needs and emergency response
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Windows system administration/engineering
- Minimum of 9 years of overall technical experience
- Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly clearance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Powershell
- Experience with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V
- Familiarity with networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VLANs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- Industry certifications such as MCSE, MCSA or CompTIA A+
- Experience with automation for Windows
