The Communications Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Communications and will be responsible for managing communications for Powder Haven, a residential development. Their primary focus will be coordinating internal resident communications targeted toward existing property owners. This individual plays a key role in helping to amplify our brand's story, engage homeowners, and cultivate community connections through thoughtful communication strategies. Responsibilities also include a deep understanding of storytelling, social media, developing newsletters, and ensuring consistent messaging that reflects the values of Powder. This is a hybrid role, requiring 2-3 days a week in office.
Job Performance Responsibilities:
- Content Creation & Management:
- Develop engaging copy for newsletters, email campaigns, social media, and website updates.
- Maintain a content calendar to align messaging with community events and project milestones.
- Support the creation of graphics and multimedia content (experience with design tools is a plus).
- Social Media & Online Presence:
- Manage and grow Powder Haven's social media channels (Instagram & WhatsApp).
- Engage with followers and respond to inquiries, fostering an online sense of community.
- Track analytics and adjust strategies to improve performance and engagement.
- Event Coordination & Communication:
- Assist with the planning and promotion of on-site events, including open houses, community gatherings, and wellness activities.
- Prepare event-related materials and coordinate with vendors, partners, and media.
- Brand Management & Messaging:
- Ensure all communications align with Powder's core values and brand voice.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain consistency across touchpoints.
- Media Relations & Outreach:
- Coordinate with local and national media to share Powder's story.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare press clippings for leadership.
- Great attitude, positive mindset, and able to adapt to an ever-changing work environment.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal skills.
- 1-3 years of experience in communications, marketing, or public relations (real estate or lifestyle brand experience is a plus).
- Proficiency in social media management and familiarity with digital analytics tools.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities.
- Passion for outdoor living, wellness, and sustainability.
- Cross-collaboration and communication skills to effectively work with all other internal departments and staff.
- Excellent computer skills (Google Suite) with ability to learn new programs.
- Must be able to handle confidential matters with absolute discretion.
- Balance and walk on slippery, uneven surfaces. Anticipate and avoid hazards.
