Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Windows Systems Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. As a Senior Windows Systems Engineer SME, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our Windows systems infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft Windows systems engineering, including server and desktop operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtualization technologies. The Senior Windows Systems Engineer SME will work closely with other IT professionals, management, and end-users to ensure that our Windows systems infrastructure is secure, reliable, and optimized for maximum performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement and maintain Windows systems infrastructure including server and desktop operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtualization technologies.
  • Ensure that Windows systems infrastructure is secure, reliable, and optimized for maximum performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Windows systems infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals and end-users to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to Windows systems infrastructure.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24x7 support as needed.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Qualifications:
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's in Science degree in Computer Engineering, computer information systems, telecommunications, or management information systems, or 7-10 recent years of documented experience.

  • Experience with and solid working knowledge of an enterprise ticketing system (REMEDY).
  • Experience with Active Directory (group policies (MS Office 2007 and higher preferred), which includes applying group permissions (deployment of and troubleshooting), and a good working knowledge of DNS/DHCP/WINS.
  • Minimum three years of experience in the following computer related areas: Networks, Servers, Storage Area Networks, and systems management; directory systems; Public Key Infrastructure, IT customer support and training; computer server and workstation installation, diagnosis and repair; technical writing; computer security; knowledge management; database administration, design and management; system maintenance; information technology project management; computer scripting; Information System
  • Knowledge of a range of current information technologies, computing platforms, and network systems, such as: cloud computing, blade server, virtualization, unified communications, collaboration tools, business intelligence systems, social networks tools, enterprise services bus.
  • Minimum three years of experience in computer system engineering; hardware and software analysis, system installation, integration, implementation, and system maintenance. Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate technical subjects to nontechnical staff are required.
  • Experience in the utilization and maintenance of high level system designs, including architectural design documents, diagrams, project plans and milestones.


Posted Min Pay Rate:
USD $114,693.12/Yr.

Posted Max Pay Rate:
USD $191,155.20/Yr.

Salary Disclosure:
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.

The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
