Secret Cleared Python Developer

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Secret Python Developer to sit out of Aberdeen, MD. The ideal candidate will support with development and evaluation and machine learning algorithms for resource constrained devices such as unmanned air/ground vehicles toward realizing efficient and effective intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR) in tactical environments. This work will include the development, optimization, and integration of containerized ISR applications. Additional responsibilities will include:
Development of software using DevOps best practices within a team of software and hardware engineers
Using containerization technologies, such as Docker, to configure and deploy ISR applications
Documenting and publishing the results of tests in technical reports
Delivering progress updates, insights, and deliverables in technical briefings and forums
Working in a multi-team environment to support the project and initiative

Salary ranges from $110-120,000 annually based on experience.

Required Skills & Experience

Active Secret Clearance
6 years of research or technical experience in a scientific or technical field
2+ years of Python and GIT experience
Strong knowledge of software development best practicies including distributed and multi-threaded programming, network application development, CPU+GPU application development
1+ year of experience with containerized application deployment using Kubernetes or Docker
1+ year of experience writing code to interact with databases
1+ year of experience working inside Linux environments
Ability to analyze, document, and publish technical reports based on testing
8570 compliant and maintain required certifications for IAT I compliance
