Job Description
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the Midwest territory, aligning with the company's overall objectives.
- Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets, focusing on both short-term results and long-term growth.
- Business Development:
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the Life Science industry.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects, leveraging market research and networking.
- Account Management:
- Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, providing tailored solutions to meet client needs.
- Market Intelligence:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging customer needs.
- Provide feedback to the product development and marketing teams to enhance offerings and strategies.
- Collaboration & Leadership:
- Work closely with internal teams (engineering, product management, and customer support) to deliver seamless customer experiences.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to increase brand awareness and generate leads.
The Successful Applicant
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in capital equipment sales, preferably within the Life Science industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing a large, multi-state territory.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales quotas in a competitive market.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications in sales or management are a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of utility systems used in the Life Science industry (e.g., biopharma, biotechnology, medical devices).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Travel:
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50%) within the Midwest territory.
