Data Engineer - Snowflake

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer specializing in Snowflake to join our team. This role focuses on ensuring data integration and quality within our enterprise data ecosystem, working with technologies like DBT, Snowflake, and GIT. Ideal candidates will have strong expertise in ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data profiling, with a preference for experience in CI/CD pipelines and healthcare data. Local candidates to Texas are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
•Perform EDW ETL/ELT ingestions and integrations to support data and analytics needs.
•Build and enhance scalable ETL/ELT solutions from diverse data sources.
•Ensure data quality and optimize data engineering processes.
•Support change control, release management, and other ITIL processes.
•Expand and optimize EDW on Snowflake, enhancing the data ecosystem.
•Collaborate with BI Developers, Data Architects, Analysts, and Data Scientists to ensure consistent data delivery architecture.
•Conduct ETL solution reviews, code reviews, and pre-production checks.
•Troubleshoot and optimize ETL processes and related components as needed.
Required Qualifications:
•7+ years of experience in designing and building data ingestion and integration solutions for Enterprise Data and Analytics.
•3+ years of experience developing data pipelines using Snowflake features (Snowpipe, SnowSQL, Snow Sight, Data Streams).
•2+ years of experience with DBT for data modeling.
•Extensive SQL skills and experience with Azure DevOps and GIT.
•Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms, especially Azure.
•Familiarity with traditional data warehousing and cloud data warehousing methodologies.
•Proven ability to work independently with strong communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience with CI/CD pipeline integrations.
•Healthcare and clinical data experience, especially Epic or Payer data.
•Familiarity with data modeling, particularly logical and physical modeling in Snowflake.
•Advanced experience with change control, release management, and other ITIL methodologies.
•Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Education: Bachelors Degree
