Job Title: Operations Manager - Swanton VT
Job Description:
- Goal of attaining efficient and effective production.
- The Operations Manager works closely with and reports to the General Manager.
- The Operations Manager has to focus, individually and in conjunction with senior management to establish an ideal working environment, improve output, and ensure good manufacturing practices are always in place.
Immediate Responsibilities:
- In conjunction with the General Manager, immediate task will be implementing
and overseeing the setup of the company.
- This includes setting up all equipment as necessary and understanding how production flow will work.
- The first several months in the role, there will be a significant travel to both
Canada and France as part of the training for this role.
- Working with HR, help develop a pay grid, as part of the compensation packages the company will be offering that will ensure we are competitive and find the best production people available.
- Working with the General Manager, identify, hire and oversee training of
employees for specific tasks, as identified as necessary in consultation with
senior management.
- Ensure output for key products is meeting demand.
- Demonstrate technical ability and product knowledge. A basic understanding of
how equipment works is critical part of the Operations Manager's training.
- Help develop annual operating budget for the production, which details activities
to follow during the coming year
- Maintain and keep up to date the physical plant. Preventative maintenance,
Outside contractor relationship, and contract negotiation
Job Specifications and Goals:
Will work on production output, planning, scheduling and sourcing, in conjunction with General Manager and the production team.
- Goal of fully integrated facility by Dec. 31, 2025
- Goal of 100% efficiency at location by June , 2026.
