Cornish College of the Arts is seeking a TikTok Content Creator who is enthusiastic about showcasing the Cornish experience through engaging and creative content. The ideal candidate is extremely comfortable on TikTok, possesses strong communication skills, is personable, and remains current with trending videos and audio. This role will collaborate closely with the Social Media Manager to learn social media best practices, refine editing techniques, and experiment with innovative styles to enhance Cornish’s digital presence.
This position encourages BFA students to apply their creative skills in a marketing context, focusing on TikTok content creation. By tailoring content for a specific audience on a highly visual, trend-driven platform, students gain a hands-on understanding of digital storytelling and audience engagement. Through active participation in Cornish’s social media approach—from concept development to execution and data analysis—they build a comprehensive skill set at the intersection of arts and marketing. This role also expands students’ networks, connecting them with artists, faculty, and industry professionals within Cornish and the broader Pacific Northwest arts community, providing valuable insights into diverse career paths for artists.
Pay Range:
$19.97 Minimum Qualifications: Currently enrolled as a student at Cornish College of the Arts with eligibility for work study. Extensive familiarity with TikTok, including its features, trends, and editing tools. Strong verbal communication skills and a personable approach. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. An interest in gaining professional experience with working on a Marketing and Communications team, including implementing social media best practices specific to Cornish’s audience. Ability to attend Cornish events, such as Theater productions and Art exhibitions, to capture video content – must be confident in filming on iPhone and speaking to event attendees. (Note: some events may require working nights and weekends; reflected in your weekly schedule) Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time and ask for help when needed.
