About the Job We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager, Global Supply Chain, to lead and optimize our global supply chain operations in the genomic sequencing and medtech industry. This leadership role will be responsible for overseeing key areas such as purchasing, demand planning, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), and warehousing, ensuring efficient and cost-effective flow of products from suppliers to customers globally. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain best practices within a highly regulated, fast-paced, and technology-driven environment. Regular onsite work at a designated FMI location is an essential function of this role. Key Responsibilities Demand Planning & Forecasting:

Oversee the development and execution of accurate demand forecasting and planning processes. Ensure alignment of production plans with customer demand, considering factors like market trends, product life cycles, and seasonality. Lead the cross-functional planning process to create effective short-term and long-term demand plans that meet business objectives.

Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP):

Drive the S&OP process to align supply chain operations with business goals and customer expectations. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to build consensus on forecasts, inventory levels, and production priorities. Monitor and optimize S&OP processes to ensure efficient resource allocation and timely product availability.

Warehousing & Distribution:

Oversee warehousing operations, ensuring that inventory management practices support both customer demand and production schedules. Implement and optimize warehousing strategies for global distribution, ensuring inventory accuracy, minimal stock-outs, and optimal storage efficiency. Work closely with logistics teams to manage global shipping, import/export regulations, and distribution channels.

Purchasing & Inventory Management:

Assist with managing Global Inventory, including Excess/Obsolete. Partner with Global Procurement on purchasing strategies, ensuring timely procurement of materials and components to meet production and customer demand. Help with relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure high-quality materials, cost savings, and consistent supply. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.

Performance Metrics & Continuous Improvement:

Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and customer service. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve cost management. Identify and resolve supply chain challenges, mitigating risks to operations and ensuring business continuity.

Team Leadership & Development:

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team across global regions. Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the supply chain department. Provide regular coaching and feedback to team members to enhance performance and career growth.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:

Ensure that all supply chain activities comply with industry regulations, quality standards, and corporate policies. Proactively manage risks in the supply chain, including potential disruptions from global supply shortages, political issues, or market fluctuations.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. 8+ years of professional experience managing supply chain, logistics, or inventory processes. 2+ years of proven track record in managing cross-functional teams and driving supply chain optimization across multiple regions. Lean Six Sigma Knowledge. Prior knowledge of Inventory Management Systems. Strong familiarity with GMP and Quality Systems. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of experience managing inventories within a life science organization. APICS or CPIM certification. Master’s degree or MBA preferred. Prior Experience: Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or other GMP regulated industry. Experience in contract and or internal kit manufacturing. Experience in quality assurance related documentation such as Planned Temporary Deviations, Non-conformances, and Corrective Action Plans. Experience in shipping and receiving within good manufacturing practice validated environments. Experience in working with an ERP, MRP system (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Maximo). Experience managing Bill of Materials creation and change independently. Competent in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage complex data and make data-driven decisions. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage supplier relationships and cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to work independently and cross-functionally to influence change. Demonstrated understanding of business priorities. Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor. Collaborative team player with a positive attitude to maintain focus in difficult situations. Strong problem-solving skills demonstrated through a history of analyzing and developing solutions in coordination with multiple stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills that include skills in written communication, oral communication, collaboration, and problem-solving with other departments and colleagues.
