Job Overview The Cyber Risk Partner role is the link between the Newell Brands lines of business/functional areas and the core Information Security organization. The role interacts daily with the business, develops partnerships, and obtains a deep understanding of the unit’s roadmap and projects, then provides that information and technical analysis to the security organization who delivers the requested services. This position will also provide technical guidance to the business regarding AI systems, their operations, and risks posed by various Gen AI use cases. The Cyber Risk Partner proactively provides customized metrics to the specific lines of business on information security and garners feedback from the business on the performance of the security organization. In addition to working closely with IT and the Business, regular interaction with internal and external auditors, Executives, Legal, Privacy, and Ethics is also required of the position. Responsibilities: Responsible for developing strong relationships and maintaining consistent interactions with leadership/team members from the assigned lines of business/functional areas. Develops an understanding of Newell Brands current and forward-looking initiatives that have information technology components. Provides guidance and technical information regarding Gen AI systems and use cases in order to identify and mitigate potential risks posed by their use. Identifies the information security needs to support the projects, which teams within information security to deliver the service requests and follows up on service completion. Collects feedback from various stakeholders within the assigned area on the effectiveness/opportunities of the information security program. Provides customized metrics to the assigned area related to information security performance. Supports the assigned area in all information security capabilities: security awareness, policy, identity and access management, security operations, risk management, vendor risk assessments, user access reviews, compliance, and vulnerability management. Provides expertise, guidance, and advice related to all Cyber Security issues from the assigned area and directs requests to the appropriate information security team for service delivery. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, information management systems, or related field required. 3+ years of experience in cyber security required, preferably in a Fortune 500 global environment or large complex organization. High energy, proactive in building and maintaining relationships a must. Extremely well organized with strong project management skills. Capable of overseeing multiple projects and service requests across multiple teams. Ability to demonstrate understanding of security concepts and translate those to the needs of the business. Strong negotiation skills, capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Strong business acumen with an understanding of finance, marketing, operations, strategy, and human resources. Exemplary leadership skills. Seeks out innovative solutions to deliver security services that do not rely on impeding business initiatives. Experience and knowledge of Gen AI systems and use cases preferred. Appropriate security certifications (i.e., CISSP) preferred.
