As a Sr. UX Designer for Alexa Smart Home you would:
Create world-class, user-centered designs through consideration of market research, business requirements, customer feedback, and usability study findings
Translate business requirements into use cases and high-level customer experience requirements
Design the information architecture, interface, and interaction flow of new voice, web, multimodal, and mobile applications
Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for voice and visual experiences
Develop and maintain detailed user experience specifications
Present design work to the user experience team, product team, executives, and external partners for review and feedback
Work with our usability and data mining teams to assess and optimize new and existing features and page frameworks
Partner with engineering and science teams to ensure cutting edge voice and visual technologies provide a delightful customer experience
Develop high level strategy for Alexa smart home customers for both near and long term
Collaborate with other design team members on Alexa smart home experiences, frameworks, process, and best practices
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of design experience - Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design - Have an available online portfolio - Experience with conversation design and prototyping using tools such as VoiceFlow or similar - Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with UX design of complex workflows - Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity - Knowledge of usability principles and techniques - Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
