Professional Rank/Salary Range: MP5; $55,000+ dependent on experience

Brief Description of Duties:

SUNY Morrisville is seeking a Coordinator for Diversity Equity & Inclusion and Title IX to oversee training, education and services in support of promoting a campus community focused on justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. This person will support in cultivating a learning environment and workplace free of sexual or relationship violence, discrimination, and harassment.

This candidate is the primary authority for investigating, overseeing supportive measures, and resolution of matters regarding Title IX. This position also manages the Bias Response Team, ensuring that all members receive appropriate training to respond to cases.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Conduct and serve as lead investigator of Title IX and bias investigations on received reports.

Regularly attends Title IX and DEI educational training programs and information sessions to ensure compliance with changing Title IX investigative and compliance standards, continuously identifies and integrates best practices as they relate to Title IX processes.

Collaborate response and resolution of complex harassment and discrimination cases in conjunction with University Counsel, Human Resources and Student Affairs.

Development and delivery of College-wide education, training and outreach programing related to Title IX, VAWA, NYS129-B, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion in collaboration with the Vice President for Student Affairs/Chief Diversity Officer and campus partners.

Provide primary coordination for programs aimed at advancing college DEI goals, programs, and projects, including but not limited to supporting external recruitment and outreach, diversity education, mentoring, and advancement of affinity groups. Identify and develop clear, research-based objectives and outcomes for educational DEI programming, including workshops and trainings to move from awareness to behavioral and cultural transformation.

Meets/communicates with reporting individuals to provide information regarding available resources, reporting and resolution options, and responds appropriately using trauma informed interviewing techniques.

Providing ongoing consultation regarding Title IX requirements, grievance issues, Bias cases, and compliance programs to campus leadership.

Provides periodic and annual reports as appropriate.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a related field

3+ years of progressively increasing responsibility and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree

Experience with multicultural organizations and programming

Experience with Title IX
