Job Summary Job PurposeImerys EHS Manager isresponsible for developing, planning and coordinating environmental and health & safety activitiesto ensure employees & contractors engagement and regulatory compliance.In general, leads EHS activities to reach zero accidents & improve environmental, safety & health performance, in line with Imerys group and industry policies.ResponsibilitiesInspects the facilities to identify safety, health, and environmental risksImplements inspection policies and proceduresCoordinates environmental and health & safety audits according procedures and protocol requirements for all areas of the companyCollects Environmental, Health & Safety annual training needsSchedules and organizes trainings to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety and technical issues and other relevant topicsCreates and updates task-based risk assessmentsEnsures industrial and mining operations of the hub are run in compliance with local environmental regulations, best-in class industry practices and Imerys guidelinesCreates inspection reports to document findings using Imerys integrated toolsManages security guards and access control of Imerys facilitiesIs responsible for the guarding of the Hub and the hygiene by controlling security guards and sanitation employeesMonitors fire safety rules and sea pollution contingency planMaintains records and creates reports of discharge of employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as requiredPromotes a strong Safety culture across the HubSupport sites to drive continuous improvements by prioritizing improvement action plans and risk preventionAccident management, ensure timely communication, conduct investigation and root cause analysis to define in collaboration with the site managers and local EHS managers the corrective action plansPerforms Environment, H&S site gap analysis with Imerys guidelines and local regulatory EHS standardsIn general role & responsibilities should be beyond the scope of Greek Mines & Quarries operations regulations (ΚΜΛΕ)Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Mining or Mineral Resources Engineering or equivalent specialtyWorking experience in EHS and/or Mining sectorMasters’ degree would be a plusFluent in the English language (writing and verbal)Very good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessmentProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google SuiteKnowledge of environmental regulations and policies will be considered as a plusSkills & Person SpecificationExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational and motivational skillsExceptional communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility in producing reports and advanced presentation skillsPosition TypeFull timeandPermanent
