Summary of Position:
The Host at Crooked Hammock Brewery is a guest satisfaction expert and is responsible for making a great first impression by warmly welcoming and greeting guests upon their arrival. The Host maintains order and control by managing the efficient and timely seating of our guests. This person should be comfortable obtaining guest feedback, and bidding guests fond farewells. The Host will also be a Crooked Hammock retail salesperson and be a leader by bringing positive energy to their work and setting the stage for success. Must Enjoy the Ride!
Duties & Responsibilities: Provide a "Perfect Beach Escape" for our guests Be aware of guest's special needs, requests, and desires. Share guests requests, needs, likes, dislikes with the rest of the team. Welcome and greet guests. Smile. Make eye contact. Make all our guests feel comfortable. Be a Guest Recognition Expert...EXPERT!!! Get to know our guests by name. Be a Guest Satisfaction Expert. Feel empowered to make our guests as happy and relaxed as possible. When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant. When immediate seating is not available, record guest names and number of people in party. Provide guests with estimated waiting time. Monitor accordingly. Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible. Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations. Ensure table to be seated is clean and properly set; clear & reset tables when appropriate Upon seating, hand guests a menu and inform them of their server's name. Pass the Baton. Relay messages to servers and kitchen as needed; support servers, kitchen & management however possible Give accurate wait times. Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return. Answer the phone with appropriate greeting, use hold button, and proper tone of voice Take accurate messages and make sure they are received by management Complete opening and closing side-work and weekly cleaning duties Keep hostess station neat & organized, stock necessary items; keep front of restaurant well-maintained Be the hardest working member of the team; be a team player Maintain merchandise, track inventory, and sell & ring up merchandise Maintain knowledge of our products. Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor. Live the brand & be a brand ambassador; make decisions in the best interest of the restaurant every time Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years of age. Daytime availability preferred Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours). Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds. Hours & Pay:
This position
pays $13.25-15/hr and awesome employee perks.
