These cover a very wide range from state-of-the-art mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft systems. You'll be responsible for developing complex aerodynamic components, structures, and systems. throughout the product lifecycle. Mass properties engineers are responsible for all aspects of mass properties on aircraft programs from preliminary weight estimation, mass properties database generation, regular weight status updates, to final aircraft weighing.

Must-haves:

Bachelor's of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or other related discipline and typically 17 or more years of relevant experience

Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices

Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Advanced experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams

Thorough understanding of SAWE RP7 and prior experience authoring SAWE RP8 reports

Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry

Up to 50% travel to Wichita, KS required for the position.

The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred:

Familiarity with wind tunnel and aircraft flight test.

Exposure to aircraft stability principles and control system design and analysis

Knowledge of industry standard aerospace principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, and fundamentals of flight mechanics
