Seller Fulfillment Technology (SFT) team located in Bangalore is looking for a SDE-2 to deliver strategic goals for Amazon ecommerce systems. As a Software Development Engineer, you will design and build our tech stack as a coherent architecture and deliver capabilities that impact all aspects of the Seller Experience and fulfillment. You will get the opportunity to own problems end-to-end and work with some of the best minds in Amazon. This role is for a full-stack developer with an emphasis on designing highly scalable and extensible applications. You will design flexible and scalable solutions, and work on some of the most complex challenges in computing by utilizing your skills in data structures, algorithms, and principles of programming. You will have a broad range of responsibilities from design, development, testing, deployment and operations. You would have easy access to Senior SDEs and Principal Engineers to bounce off your ideas and discuss tech solutions.

Key job responsibilities

• Work closely with senior and principal engineers to architect and deliver high quality technology solutions.

• Own development in multiple layers of the stack including distributed workflows hosted in native AWS architecture.

• Operational rigor for a rapidly growing tech stack.

• Measure success metrics, demonstrate thought leadership and influence evolution of the tech product.

• Contribute to patents, tech talks and innovation drives.

• Assist in the continual hiring, mentoring, and development of technical talent.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Possess an extremely sound understanding of basic areas of Computer Science such as Algorithms, Data Structures, Object Oriented Design, Databases.

Proven track record of building large-scale, highly available, low latency, high quality distributed systems and software products.

Great problem solving skills and propensity to learn and develop tech talent.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
