Primarily located in Huntsville, AL. AMS provides responsive, cost-effective engineering and scientific solutions to the defense field.
The Engineer or Analyst in this role will support Radar Technology programs including modeling, simulation, and analysis; hardware and software prototyping; and development, integration and testing of surveillance and fire control radars, RF/MMW seekers, and RF datalinks. :::
Experience and Skills
::: {ng-bind-html="getJob.reqsexp"} Candidate must possess a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited university with a 3.5 GPA or higher, although a Masters degree is preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience. Candidate must have demonstrated through relevant experience skills in electromagnetics, signals and systems, digital signal processing, or controls. Candidate must have demonstrated these skills in the following areas: modeling, radar/weapons systems analysis, algorithm development, RF hardware, HWIL support, and/or field-testing support.
Modeling includes modeling of radar function, threats, timeline, weapon system, clutter, EA/EP, etc. Radar/weapons systems analysis includes probability of detection, waveform analysis, probability of intercept, defended area, etc. Algorithm development includes detection processes, waveform selection, signal processing, clutter and EA mitigation, adaptive beamforming, target identification, etc. RF hardware includes transmitters, exciters, antennas, multi-channel receivers, high-bandwidth receivers, SOTA processors, and RF lab equipment, development and integration, and software development, and test. Field test support includes travel, radar equipment setup and teardown, and light lifting (up to 30 or 40 lbs.).
Experience with MATLAB or Python is required. Candidate must have good people skills and the desire to work with a highly technical team of engineers and scientists.Candidate must be able to comfortably interact with and present to customers, coworkers and management on a regular basis.
Candidate must be a US-only Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
