Essential Functions

Serve as the primary point of contact for ADA and Title IX related inquiries for students, complaints, accommodation requests, and investigations.

Oversee the investigative process and assign relevant duties when looking into reports of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.

Collaborate with campus parties, including students, faculty, staff, and external agencies, to address ADA and Title IX concerns.

Develop and implement training programs to educate the campus community on ADA and Title IX rights and responsibilities.

a. Provide ongoing support and training to college administrators, faculty, and staff regarding requirements, responsibilities, procedures, and policies.

b. Disseminate information and coordinate training for students about their rights, including complaint procedures.

Maintain accurate records of complaints, investigations, and resolutions in compliance with legal requirements.

Prepare and submit required reports on ADA and Title IX compliance to regulatory agencies and college leadership.

Facilitate and assist students with ADA accommodation requests, consult with faculty, when needed, and provide appropriate program accommodations.

Process requests for auxiliary aids such as interpreters for students and college events.

Assist students with information about their rights with pregnancy and birth related accommodations under Title IX and provide appropriate accommodations.

Maintain accurate records of all accommodation requests, documentation of accommodation rationale, and accommodation letters.

Monitor and assess the effectiveness of ADA and Title IX policies and procedures, recommending revisions, as necessary.

Manage ADA and Title IX webpages to reflect up to date information and current documentation on the training for ADA and Title IX officials.

Maintain current knowledge of all policies and procedures and advise students of college policies.

Stay current with federal and state laws, regulations, training and certifications, and best practices related to ADA and Title IX compliance.

Coordinate with Human Resources as needed and serve as a liaison with Utah State Risk Management regarding ADA and Title IX compliance.

Serve as the point of contact for student compliance.

Serve on the Student Assistance and Intervention Team (SAIT).

The incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

Master's degree in human resources, school counseling, social work, rehabilitation counseling, or related field required.

Minimum of two (2) years professional working experience in a related field.

Demonstrated knowledge of current state and federal laws, regulations, principles, and procedures related to ADA and Title IX.

Must have the following abilities:

· Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.

· Demonstrated ability to write comprehensive, concise reports.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft office software applications.

Experience Preferred:

ADA training and/or certification is preferred.

Title IX training and/or certification is preferred.

Spanish speaking proficiency desirable.

Physical Requirements:

Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform most work; however, there will be some walking; standing; bending; reaching; and carrying light items. Special physical demands are not required of the position.

Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.

Typically, the work will be performed on site at the main campus between the hours of 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Thursday and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Fridays. Hours subject to change.
