About the role

At Rippling, the growth team is the tip of the spear of revenue generation. Our team's job is to maximize revenue by efficiently driving sales demos. We do that by running marketing experiments across multiple channels, then rapidly scaling the ones that work.

We're looking for a CRO Manager to join our rocket ship at Rippling. Hamid at Kleiner Perkins recently said that "Rippling's growth is in the 1% of the 1%. At their scale, they are one of the fastest growing companies in the world" - and this role is critical to accelerating that trajectory. You'll own our web conversion strategy across desktop and mobile, driving experimentation and optimization to turn high-intent traffic into qualified leads. Reporting to our Head of Performance Marketing, you'll be the driving force behind our web performance, working cross-functionally with product and channel teams to continuously push conversion metrics up and to the right. We're building the future of workforce management, and if you're a data-driven optimizer who loves turning insights into impact, we want you on our team.

This is a career-defining opportunity for a go-getter and somebody who's hungry to operate in a fast-paced environment while working with a world class team. We prioritize slope over intercept and expect you to be a self-starter, analytical, first principle-driven, bring big ideas, and test yourself into step-change improvements. This can be a career defining opportunity for the right candidate.

What you will do

  • Experimentation: Drive our end-to-end CRO strategy for paid traffic and build a robust experimentation engine that moves the needle on funnel conversion. You'll craft the roadmap that turns high-intent traffic into qualified leads, running rapid experiments to continuously improve our conversion funnel.
  • Data-Driven Optimization: Leverage our analytics stack to identify conversion bottlenecks and opportunities. You'll translate complex data into actionable insights that drive our optimization roadmap. We're looking for someone who's obsessed with the numbers and knows how to turn insights into impact.
  • Cross-Functional Impact: Partner with technical teams to execute high-impact experiments at speed often needing to self-serve and roll up the sleeves to get work done.
  • Technical Ownership: Shape our experimentation and analytics tech stack to enable faster, more sophisticated testing. You'll help build the infrastructure that allows us to move quickly and measure precisely.
  • UX Innovation: Relentlessly optimize our user experience to maximize conversion. You'll need to balance conversion optimization with maintaining the premium feel of our brand.

What you will need

  • 1-2 years of proven experience in a CRO, web optimization, or a related field. Direct experience designing A/B tests informed by user pain points and interpreting results
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Amplitude, Hotjar, Optimizely, Stasig etc)
  • Excellent understanding of user experience best practices and website design principles
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Scrappy, quick-moving and biased-to-action. Preferably worked at a startup before.
  • SQL experience is a huge plus
  • Strong ownership mindset: motivated by the idea of owning a number, and are not afraid to step up to big challenges. You have a growth mindset and readily look for feedback on how to improve.
  • Cross-functional communicator: you communicate proactively and effectively, marshaling internal resources and external partners to keep tests running smoothly
  • Bias to action: You'll constantly try new growth ideas in this role; you have a bias to action and learning and will do whatever it takes to get your projects over the finish line.
  • Structured, data-driven problem-solving: you are able to analyze and design solutions to ambiguous problems in ambiguous environments. You have the ability to analyze data to uncover insights, in SQL or Excel, in order to optimize performance towards your goals.
  • Inbox 0 mindset: You have the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and handle multiple projects and timelines, ensuring everything is delivered on time and within scope.
  • Hackiness and creativity: You're constantly generating new ideas and are eager to experiment.
