Make an impact with our Indigenous Services team as a Senior Consultant. This diverse team of professionals works with more than 250 Indigenous peoples, groups and organizations across Canada and shares a passion for learning and understanding their history, culture and contributions to our country. As a trusted advisor, you'll provide expertise to empower Indigenous communities, organizations, businesses and individuals in navigating a dynamic social, political and economic environment.

Responsibilities:

MNP's Indigenous Services Consulting Team is responsible for helping Indigenous Nations and Organizations solve issues, create value, maximize growth, and improve governance and operational performance. The projects delivered by our team include strategic planning, operational planning, program reviews, program re-deigns, financial/funding analysis, stakeholder engagement, and other forms of management consulting.

As a Senior Consultant on the team, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Propose, plan and deliver consulting engagements within the Indigenous services niche (focusing on Indigenous Health, and Child and Family Services)
  • Develop project plans and coordinate project logistics with clients and other stakeholders
  • Conduct detailed research and data collection, interviews, focus groups, and surveys
  • Perform in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis and consolidate results to provide meaningful conclusions and recommendations
  • Identify innovative ways to deliver value to clients; ensure needs are met and relationships grow and develop
  • Design and develop high-quality deliverables, including reports, presentations, and other correspondence
  • Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals
  • Work collaboratively with the internal project teams and clients
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary


Skills and experience:

The following skills and personal attributes are essential to success in the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Business, Economics, Human Resources, Policy, Sociology, or another relevant field
  • Four to five years of relevant work experience, ideally supporting Indigenous communities or organizations
  • Knowledge or training in Indigenous history, culture, political structures, as well as government policy related to Indigenous Peoples is considered an asset
  • Experience in or a strong understanding of social sectors such as Health or Child and Family Services considered an asset
