SENIOR AUTOMATION ENGINEER

The Senior Automation Engineer will play a key role in ESCO's Automation division, contributing to advancing our clients' plant automation projects.

We are seeking a skilled individual with experience in systems integration and a strong understanding of the Allen-Bradley product lines, PLC programming, and HMI technologies. This position will involve leading and collaborating on innovative automation solutions that enhance our clients' projects and support their overall success.

Responsibilities:

Expertise in designing, programming, testing, and commissioning automation systems using Rockwell PLCs and HMIs to control and monitor industrial processes. Effectively lead and support the installation, start-up, maintenance, and operation of automation systems, advanced manufacturing software applications, drive systems, manufacturing systems, industrial networks, and the individual products that comprise these systems. Provide technical support to clients during commissioning and post-project stages, while overseeing automation projects from conception to implementation. Interpret process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) to identify individual I/O components and process systems for programming execution. Create and maintain custom PLC and HMI objects and displays to create automation programs efficiently. Develop and optimize control logic for automated systems, potentially incorporating SCADA systems to improve monitoring and control capabilities. Required Skills:

3+ years of directly related experience. In-depth knowledge of Automation and Control products, including but not limited to Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), PLCs, Motion Control, SCADA Software, HMI, Networking, Sensors, Motion, Robotics, and Motor Control. PLC programming utilizing RSLogix 5, 500, 5000, FactoryTalk Studio software. Qualifications:

College Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Experience in applying automation technology to industries such as Industrial/OEM, Food and Beverage, Municipalities, Commercial, Oilseeds, Seed and Seed Research, etc. and applications such as conveyors, production lines, packaging equipment, etc. Ability to travel often in the assigned territory and occasionally travel to attend company, customer, and supplier activities and events. Current valid driver's license. Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
