Marin Community Clinics, founded in 1972, is today, a multi-clinic network with a wide array of integrated primary care, dental, behavioral, specialty and referral services. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we provide vital health services to almost 40,000 individuals annually in Marin County. The Clinics regularly receive national awards from the Health Resources and Services Administrations (HRSA). The Bilingual Pediatrician provides quality primary care to patients of Marin Community Clinics consistent with her/his training and expertise, and appropriate to the ambulatory care setting provided.
$100k-$120k Signing bonus available for select applicants (specific program terms apply)
$240k-$250k/year salary range
Relocation assistance available
Bilingual Spanish skills are required
Responsibilities:
Provides comprehensive outpatient pediatric primary care.
Cares for pediatric patients (ages 0-18 years old).
Conducts routine well-child care visits, urgent care and follow up appointments.
Provides supervision and consultation to mid-level pediatric practitioners working at the clinic.
Opportunity to conduct pediatric inpatient hospital rounds at Marin General Hospital based on need and interest.
Participates in quality management activities as assigned by the Medical Director.
Participates in the direction and development of health care services provided by Marin Community Clinics as a member of the primary health care team.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Pediatrician with experience preferred but new residency grads also welcome or, Pediatric NP with up to 3+ yrs. of expreince. Board eligible or Board certified highly preferred. Must have a valid and unrestricted license issued by the Medical Board of California to practice medicine. Current registration issued by the DEA allowing the prescription of drugs. Current BLS certification. Prior experience working with under-served communities in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Community Health Clinic environment highly desirable. Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Records preferred.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Ability to see an average of 18- 22 patients per day for Full Time shift. Bilingual English/Spanish skills required Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Prolonged standing, walking, and prolonged periods sitting at desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times and move medical equipment. Fine motor hand movements typical of performing standard Pediatrician job duties. Able to read charts graphs and readings on medical equipment.
Covid-19 Vaccination and Booster Requirements:
All employees are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including "health-care" required boosters as a condition of employment, subject to limited exemptions. New employees are required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and boosted before the first day of employment. If you completed your primary series early boosters,but have not received the most recent booster,you will be required to get the most recent booster and mask until completed if hired.
