The Business Analyst (BA) for the Internal Developer Platform (IDP) Team will be responsible for bridging the gap between IT operational needs and technical solutions. Specifically, the IDP BA will collaborate closely with IT stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements. This will result in execution of product roadmap initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

  • Engage with key IT stakeholders to understand initiatives needs and requirements

  • Conduct requirement gathering meetings with the development team

  • Document and communicate requirements in the form of business requirements

Communication and Collaboration

  • Serve as a liaison between IT stakeholders and IDP team to facilitate clear understanding of next steps

  • Frequently conduct meetings to provide status updates on the initiative in flight, gather additional requirements, and potentially clear roadblocks or impediments

Project Management Support

  • Assist the Team Leader and Product Manager in defining project scope, key objectives, and deliverables.

  • Monitor timelines, velocity, and team capacity to ensure the current initiative stays on track.

  • Assist with the mitigation and identification of potential initiative risk.

Process Improvement

  • Evaluate existing IT operations to identify areas where the platform can enablement the developer experience.

  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Perform data analysis to determine trend and bring insight which can inform future product decisions.
  • Create or maintain reporting, dashboards, and visualization to communicate observations to IT stakeholders.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Required:

  • Computer-related degree or equivalent
  • Five years or more of business analysis experience
  • Ability to manage tasks and deliverables effectively
  • Ability to quickly become an expert in various business domains
  • Critical thinking, emotional intelligence and situational awareness
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a challenging, changing, fast-paced environment
  • Negotiation skills between application development team and business partners 
  • Work with a diverse group of stakeholders including executives, leaders, direct reports, and subject matter experts
  • Deep understanding of BA role in an Agile environment
  • Understand the BA role within the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to multitask and adapt
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Onsite, full-time attendance

Preferred:

  • Mortgage or financial experience
  • Experience working with C-Level or other senior leaders
  • BPMN
  • Relational database knowledge; SQL
  • Vendor integrations and API management
