Responsibilities:
- Service Transaction Processing: Accurately processes service transactions, including invoice payments, and service deposits, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to dealership policies.
- Cash Handling: Handle cash, checks, credit cards, and other forms of payment from customers for service transactions, ensuring accuracy and secure handling of funds.
- Point of Sale (POS) System Operation: Utilize the dealership's computerized point of sale system to process service transactions promptly and efficiently, including generating invoices and receipts.
- Customer Assistance: Greet service customers in a friendly and professional manner, answer their inquiries, and provide information about service offerings and promotions.
- Appointment Scheduling: Assist service advisors by scheduling customer appointments, ensuring efficient utilization of service bays and technician availability.
- Customer Conflict Resolution: Address customer complaints or concerns related to service transactions, striving to resolve issues promptly and in a courteous manner, escalating to management when necessary.
- Receipt and Record-Keeping: Issue receipts for service transactions, and maintain accurate and organized records of cash transactions, daily transactions, and deposits, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping practices.
- Cash Reconciliation: Reconcile cash register at the end of each shift, balance totals, investigate and document any discrepancies, and prepare deposits for submission.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the service department to ensure seamless customer transactions, including assisting with paperwork, answering phone calls, and coordinating service appointments.
- Upkeep of Cashier Area: Maintain a clean and organized cashier area within the service department, including stocking supplies, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment, and reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
