Description
The Owners Project Manager is responsible for:
- All stages of project management from planning through completion including: design, construction, permitting, furniture procurement, occupancy, quality control, staffing, scheduling, and budget
- Ensuring project milestones are met
- Overseeing project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
- Contract negotiations
- Utilizing project management softwares to manage project details and timelines
- Maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment and communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Contributing to the growth and culture of our expanding team
Profile
The right Owners Project Manager has the following qualifications:
- 4-10+ years of experience (hiring for Senior APMs, Junior PMs, and PMs)
- OPM background
- Must have project controls and financials experience, budgeting, scheduling
- Strong background in education projects (ideally higher ed)
- Degree in construction management, business, or engineering
- Previous experience interacting with clients in the academic, healthcare, or corporate sectors
- Self-starter
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency of Microsoft and construction industry software platforms such as Procore
- Ability to understand design process and architectural documents
- Capacity to prioritize in a composed and professional manner
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to commute to New Haven CT daily
