Job Description: About the Company - We are a Traumatic Brain Injury Center with offices in Elmhurst, Brooklyn Heights and Manhattan. We are looking for a Licensed Psychiatry Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, preferably but not necessary bilingual English/Spanish to join our growing team of medical professionals to work at our Manhattan Center. About the Role - Your duties will include recording patients' medical histories, performing psychiatric evaluations, administering diagnostic tests, and creating patient care plans. You will also administer treatment and observe patients' functioning over time. This is an In-Person position. Responsibilities - Health screenings and monitoringProviding psychiatric and at times neuro/psychiatry evaluations, and ongoing medicationParticipating in ongoing case meeting with the treatment teamMaintain contact with and participate in supervision with the Neurologist and/or Psychiatrist when applicableMaintain updated clinical records in Electronic Health RecordsProcess medication requests and prior authorization requestsObtain outside medical records from outside providersConduct telephone triage (during office hours) Qualifications - A Nurse Practitioner degree with specialized training or experience in PsychiatryA current license to practice as a nurse practitioner in the State of New YorkMasters degree from an accredited nursing programRN licensure in New York State and board-certified by either ANCC or AANPAPN authorization in the state of New York to practice in family health by the Board of Nurse ExaminersPrescriptive authorizationDEA LicenseExperience providing primary care as a family nurse practitionerProficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to perform your workKnowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point-of-interview technologyA sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHAExcellent verbal and written communication skills both in English (and Spanish if you have it)Knowledge of disease prevention Required Skills - Industry: Medical Practices, Employment Type: Full-time, Job Functions: Health Care Provider Preferred Skills - Psychiatric experience and training Equal Opportunity Statement - NYC Traumatic Brain Injury Center is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment for all employees and applicants.
