The Role and What You'll Do:

In June 2021, 160over90 partnered with Obsidianworks, a culture-powered marketing agency co-founded by actor and producer Michael B. Jordan and Chad Easterling, purpose-built for a more inclusive era of brand storytelling; the agency focuses on cultural connectivity through brand strategy, digital and social impact. Together with 160over90, the agency works with brand and talent partners to identify opportunities, create, and execute innovative and culturally resonant campaigns and activations, and connect with multicultural consumers in diverse communities.

The Business Development Director will operate as the engine of Obsidianworks, forming prospective clients' impressions of the agency, effectively shaping the client portfolio, and ensuring ample workflow.

They will work closely with the CEO to bring in new business for the agency. They will have an entrepreneurial spirit and be proactive in establishing, refining, and improving BD practices. This role is key to developing a scalable BD framework for new opportunities but also for Account Directors can use to foster organic growth within existing accounts. The ideal candidate has a strong network in the agency world or is willing to build one and open new doors for the agency. Maintain understanding of OW's business model, branding process, value proposition, full-service capabilities, active client portfolio, and prime revenue generation sources. Expand the agency's network by attending key industry events and actively pursuing new business opportunities. Pitch across a combination of offerings, such as, advertising, experiential, postproduction, music, etc. Act as the central hub of the pitch team and partner with the Creative and Strategy leadership team to manage staffing, work delivery, and client management. Oversee accurate record keeping of all new business wins, losses in the agency's CRM-in real time or on a weekly basis, working together with CEO, CSO and Account Directors. Prepare weekly new business reports and leadership updates on active deals, newly awarded work, and the health of the agency's overall pipeline. Oversee maintenance of archives of proposals and presentations. Maintain library of best-in-class client work samples, regularly collecting new agency work in market and related branding results. Lead in the development of biz dev tools (links pages/curated work samples, case studies, portfolios, etc.) to elicit prospect attention and merchandise agency value/ROI. Liaise with Account, Creative and industry specialists to provide curated work samples that can help unlock organic growth opportunities and assembly and delivery of work portfolios, proposals/RFP responses, and presentations. Own relationships with external agents and organize meetings to ensure on-time execution and lead in the development of tailored proposals, presentations, and pitch decks Ensure process adherence, efficiency, and quality assurance You Have These:

Strong knowledge of/interest in marketing, communications, and creative services Self-starter with the drive to establish, refine, and elevate BD practices for the agency Highly organized with strong attention to detail and excellent communication Strong network or willingness to attend industry events, build relationships, and open new opportunities. Good business judgment/commercial acumen Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment Four-year college/university degree, preferably in business or marketing/advertising/ communications 6+ years of related agency and/or sales experience Apple Keynote and Microsite Office experience preferred

Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the range shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. Endeavor strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.

Hiring Range Minimum: $105,000 annually

Hiring Range Maximum: $140,000 annually
