Job Description: Req #: 0000176465Category: Nursing ManagerStatus: Full-TimeShift: NightFacility: Trinitas Regional Medical CenterDepartment: Intensive Care Unit - 1200Location: WILLIAMSON STREET, 235 Williamson Street, Elizabeth, NJ 07202Job OverviewTrinitas Intensive Care Unit is a collaborative closed 25 bed capacity mixed with medical and surgical cases under Intensivist care program. We provide management of acutely ill patients with life-threatening conditions requiring complex assessment, high-intensity therapies and interventions, and continuous nursing vigilance. Our care management consists of care bundles based on evidence-based practices that are executed with compassion and care.Intensive care nurses work with all patients and their families to create healing, humane, and caring behaviors in a safe environment while focusing also on patient advocacy. The ICU Nurse oversees the operations of the ICU in the specific shift assigned. He/she collaboratively works with other Clinical Coordinators regarding the workflow of the unit and professional/ educational needs of staff; performs administrative duties such as coordinating care teams for patients, and acting as a liaison between patients, patient families, and health care professionals. Conducts nurse leader rounding to patients and ensures excellent patient experience. Reviewing nursing documentation for accuracy, compliance and timeliness. Reports, communicates and collaborates with the ICU director.Scheduling RequirementsNight Shift, 40 Hours per week [7:00PM 7:30AM]Monday Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotationQualificationsActive New Jersey RN License or approved RN license requiredBSN CCRN certification preferredAHA BLS prior to start date requiredNIHSS Certification within 1 year from start dateA minimum of 5 years of full intensive care experienceManagerial/Charge position experience preferredEssential FunctionsThe Registered Nurse Coordinator (RN) provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
