The Senior Director, Human Resources Transformation is a project management and change management lead responsible for planning and managing large-scale, global, complex projects, to execute and deliver on the HR strategy as part of the overall HR transformation program. You will partner with HR leaders across Danaher Corporate, platforms and Operating Companies, in addition to business leaders and finance leaders, as appropriate. This role will translate strategy into project plans and lead the successful implementation of enterprise-wide HR initiatives involving organizational change, process optimization and technology deployment, supported by strong change management. While the transformation projects will change over time, the initial focus will be on HR Operations/Shared Services and Total Rewards/Talent Management to develop teams focused on project management within HR.

This position is part of the Corporate HR Transformation team. We have a strong preference for the candidate to be located onsite in Washington, DC in the United States. Relocation assistance may be considered per business needs.

In this role, you will have the opportunity and be expected to:
  • Project Management: Lead and oversee end-to-end large-scale, global, complex programs/projects that drive HR transformation, planning and managing project scope, timelines, resources, deliverables and risks. Drive project execution to meet project goals.
  • Change Management: Develop and implement change management strategies to drive HR transformation initiatives effectively. Conduct change readiness assessments and develop strategies to ensure organizational readiness, buy-in and maximize adoption.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key enterprise-wide stakeholders, including HR leaders, business leaders, and cross-functional teams, to ensure alignment, engagement and effective communication throughout the transformation process.
  • Process Improvement: Partner with HR functional leaders in the application of DBS tools and the implementation of HR process improvements across the enterprise, along with the corresponding technology.
  • Training and Development: Collaborate with Learning and Development teams to design and deliver training programs that equip HR teams and employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to adapt to new processes and technologies.
  • Performance Measurement: Develop metrics and performance indicators to track the success and impact of HR transformation initiatives and provide regular progress reports to key stakeholders, including budgeting and financial business implications, both cost and savings.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within HR processes and systems, leveraging DBS tools, industry best practices and innovative technologies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and employee experience.


The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Bachelor's degree, with clear understanding of how a business operates and solid business acumen.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a program/project management role, translating strategy into plans, managing multiple projects simultaneously and driving them to successful completion. Experience with different project management methodologies and tools.
  • Proven experience in project managing large-scale, global, complex change and transformation programs, involving organizational change, process optimization and technology deployment, with an orientation to detail.
  • Proven expertise in change management methodologies and tools, having planned and managed large-scale, global change management initiatives.
  • Demonstrated communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization by tailoring the message according to the audience.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate globally dispersed teams towards a common vision and goal, navigating ambiguity, adapting to change, and thriving in a dynamic work environment.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and analytical mindset with the ability to understand complex business challenges and develop data-driven solutions. Experience developing success metrics, KPIs and showcasing sustainment in previous project metrics.


Travel Requirements:
  • Ability to travel domestically and/or overseas - 40%-60% travel, as business needs require.


It would be a plus if you also possess:
  • PMP certification
  • Change Management certification (e.g. Prosci)
  • Experience in managing transformation specifically within HR


The salary range for this role is $170,000 - $250,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
