We are seeking a senior marketer to develop narratives and go-to-market strategies as part of the global advertising brand marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing sales enablement materials (e.g., sales pitch decks, case studies, playbooks) as well as direct-to-advertiser marketing deliverables (e.g., sponsored content, paid media campaigns, etc.) to support enterprise brands. To do this, you will dive deep into understanding industry specific customer segments and business needs, the entertainment, shopping, and advertising environment on Amazon, and marketplace dynamics. You will define the strategy for the CPG industry, develop the associated messaging, and execute on the go-to-market plan, amplifying your message across external channels. You will combine strong analytical acumen with creativity, and have the opportunity to test and scale new solutions and marketing channels. This is a highly cross-functional, high visibility role that requires you to align with sales stakeholders and advertiser objectives, which constantly adjust based on market conditions and feedback from customers. As an owner, you will not only define the marketing message for the industry you cover, but you will also need to be strong in execution of the development of sales collateral and marketing channel content, including pitch decks, blog posts, product videos, and web page content. You will also commission first and third-party research to support your key messages. And, you will hold a consistently high bar for both customer-facing and internal materials. Key job responsibilities Your responsibilities will include: • Developing marketing plans to drive awareness, engagement, and sales for Amazon’s advertising opportunities, including defining value propositions and playbooks • Creating compelling marketing collateral to drive engagement for enterprise advertisers • Guiding the prioritization, development, and implementation of case studies and research to communicate the benefits of Amazon’s advertising opportunities • Driving engagement using existing owned marketing channels and piloting new channels • Working cross-functionally with Marketing and Insights teams, Sales, Analytics and Insights, Product, Retail, Legal, and PR to deliver content and channel initiatives • Commissioning 1st and 3rd party research to support positioning and marketing plans • Serving as an internal advocate for customer needs; ensuring broad awareness of, and empathy for, customer pain points Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional marketing programs Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership Preferred Qualifications Experience developing cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research and marketing teams to develop strategy and consumer insights that drive compelling creative executions Experience managing creative (internal team of designers, copywriters, external agencies and freelancers) Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines Cross-functional experience across Sales, Product Management, Marketing, PR, Legal, Training, and Research Ability to make ruthless prioritization decisions to allocate limited resources to high impact initiatives Entrepreneurial spirit/ability to try different things in an ambiguous environment with minimal direction Confident leading walk throughs of materials and fielding questions Fanatical attention to detail Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
