Senior Engineer, Cabin Systems Avionics

Job Purpose
About the Opportunity: You will help shape the future technology of the HondaJet aircraft family by providing engineering oversight, as well as guidance on compliance and FAA regulations, for new product development programs and upgrades for existing platforms. In this role, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team in your area of expertise.
In addition, you will be supporting the development of physical and HMI/screen-based/graphical systems, entertainment systems, connectivity, lighting, power/charging, and investigating emerging technology that may be applicable to the cabin experience. Your work will consider styling, human factors, system modularity, design for manufacturing, and the implementation of the system within the cabin environment. Key Accountabilities
Define, plan, and develop complex system level requirements to support avionics systems including digital cabin systems. Perform systems level integration activities for aircraft avionic systems including Control and Display Systems, Communication Systems, Audio Systems, Cloud Based Systems, and Cabin Systems. Define and integrate multiple data bus communications such as ARINC 429, RS485, RS232, CAN, and Ethernet. Interface and facilitate integration between with multiple suppliers to ensure technical requirements are met to support aircraft development need dates. Develop mock-ups and prototypes for fit/form/function assessment to meet user experience and design criteria considering topics such as: human comfort, reach, haptics, multi-mode HMI, product functionality and user experience. Serve as the system-level expert for integration and coordination activities with various departments and the certification authorities. Collaborate with cross-functional team members to complete assignments and projects as defined per the program schedule. Provide technical assistance to production and customer service departments in support of system technical inquires, issue resolution, and system level enhancement. Perform system evaluation and analysis to verify the system design compliance with functional requirements. Develop targeted system level enhancements to address customer feedback and product improvement initiatives. Conduct system lab testing and aircraft functional testing. Prepare presentations on avionics system design/development status. Support system analyses for avionic systems. Support system Failure Hazard Analyses for avionic systems Conduct trade studies, analyses, and test programs as necessary to validate system architectures meet all requirements. Conduct multi-disciplinary design reviews throughout the different phases of development, certification, and production readiness as required to coordinate and communicate system design projects. Have a Bachelors' Degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Physics. You've applied this expertise over 5+ years in Engineering and have spent 4+ years working with integrated aircraft avionic/electrical systems in the areas of design engineering, system analysis, system test, and compliance findings. You have experience with new product development certification programs and major/ minor upgrade programs on existing platforms (Part 23
