This is a Full Time, 12 Hour Night Shift, a position benefits eligible, located at both our Memorial Hospital in La Jolla as well as our Green Hospital in La Jolla. The RN in the Float Pool will float between Scripps La Jolla, widely known for the Prebys Cardiovascular Institute and Scripps Green Hospital campus recognized for their transplant program and spine services. As RN in the Float Pool, you will have the opportunity to float to Definitive Observation. Enjoy the variety working for the Float Pool brings along with self-scheduling and 4-week scheduling which provides maximum flexibility. Responsibilities include: * Providing direct patient care within the scope of your practice. * Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. * With quality patient and family-centered care in mind, the RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under their supervision. * Work collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care. In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met: Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter) Must remain in original department/specialty Must remain in original Job Title Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter

Required: One (1) year of recent RN experience in an acute care setting within hospital environment. California Registered Nurse License Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS provider certification.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing Progressive Care experience highly preferred Medical, Surgical, Telemetry and Definitive Observation experience
