As the
Associate Creative Director
you will be responsible for inspiring and leading a team of creative designers and writers (both internally + externally) to develop and execute on the brand positioning and strategy. You'll not only build integrated, brand-centric campaigns that will drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention across all the channels but create genuine brand love for Dermstore. The role requires a creative, strategic, and collaborative mindset paired with a multi-disciplinary mastery of creative formats, storytelling devices and precise attention to detail and tone.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand's look and feel. You will lead and steer creative strategy, development, and execution from ideation through production and final delivery.
Your goal will be to build and develop Dermstore's in-house Creative Team, bringing brand and product stories to market in effective, creative, and authentic ways.
You will oversee creative concepting and storytelling to bring Dermstore's pillar of education to the forefront of the customer experience across all our key touchpoints. You will oversee integrated campaigns and always-on programming for paid and owned marketing channels. You will provide a strong editorial POV for integrated campaigns and define and maintain Dermstore's distinct voice and authority at every consumer touchpoint.
You will provide leadership and guide internal and external partners on creative best practices.
Candidates should possess a solutions-oriented, self-starting mentality and should be equally comfortable working independently with minimal direction and collaborating closely with stakeholders and partners.
As an Associate Creative Director, you'll: Manage an in-house creative team including designers, content, and copy. Provide mentorship, feedback, and support for team members' professional growth. Develop and deliver thought-leadership and creative solutions that strengthen Dermstore's market position and business results. Conceive and create experience-oriented digital marketing solutions that address strategic business objectives. Oversee art direction and graphic design; Design end-to-end flows and experiences that are simple and elegant for our supported platforms. Optimize, adopt, and adhere to Dermstore Style Guides. Maintain a set of design best practices and guidelines to reduce and minimize production efforts. Maintain and develop a design system to ensure consistency across our products and brand messages. Create design templates for email, social media, site, and direct mail communications. Champion a user-centric design approach, incorporating feedback and performance data to inform decisions. Support your designs using insights including quantitative data and site metrics, segmentation, and feedback. Drive rapid prototyping and iterative design processes to refine visionary concepts for realization. Ensure all projects are completed within identified timelines and budgets. Provide and manage design documentation and specifications. Proactively solve creative challenges, self-motivate, and work independently as well as collaboratively. Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve our design process and output. What skills & experience do I need for this role?
8+ years of brand creative experience inclusive of performance and growth marketing; experience in beauty, with DTC/Product creative marketing a plus Portfolio required A successful track record for translating marketing briefs to innovative creative campaigns that drove user acquisition and engagement and contributed to brand love; comfortable with leading high-volume creative deliverables A proven history of developing creative strategies across multiple digital touchpoints and inspiring work for a challenger brand to differentiate in a crowded marketplace Direct experience building relationships and collaborating with cross-functional partners (media, marketing, buying, e-comm), internal creatives (art directors, writers, producers) and external partners Mastery of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator Proficiency with video editing and motion graphics animation (AfterEffects) preferred What's in it for me?
