Job Title Home Visiting Nurse Department Graduate Programs, College of Nursing - 35400 Pay Grade 9 Job Category Administrative Job Summary East Tennessee State University, College of Nursing, is currently seeking a Home Visiting Nurse (RN) for our Northeast Tennessee Nurse-Family Partnership ( NETNFP ) Program.
The NETNFP is part of the national Nurse Family Partnership ( NFP ) program that provides vital support to first-time mothers by promoting and supporting healthy pregnancies and postnatal care by providing mothers with a personal nurse in the home during and after pregnancy.
The NFP program, funded by the TN Department of Health, has served nine (9) counties in Northeast Tennessee since 2017 including: Carter, Cocke, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington. The program is expanding in July 2024 to include (4) four additional counties: Claiborne, Grainger, Hamblen, and Jefferson.
The Home Visiting Nurse (RN) is responsible to the Nursing Supervisor for providing home visits to women and their families eligible for the NFP Program; adhering to nursing process and the NFP model of home visitation; carrying a case load of up to 25 clients; and other duties as assigned.
This position is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) position contingent on grant funding.

Knowledge and experience in maternal/child health, public health, home visiting or mental/behavioral nursing. Ability to perform excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Ability to perform in-person nursing visits in the client's home. Ability to travel to meetings, client visits, community outreach events, trainings and education sessions by car, air, etc. Ability to use a computer (Microsoft Office, email, EHR , client data systems.) Ability to meet the physical demands of performing home visitation in diverse environments. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an ASN degree may be considered with the understanding that the applicant must complete a BSN within an approved time frame, if hired. Unencumbered TN RN license. Valid driver's license and insured automobile. Current CPR certification. Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years of recent experience in maternal/child health, or public health, or home visiting, or mental/behavioral nursing. Salary based on experience
