• Established Carolinas based general contractor - $100M/year in annual revenue, have been around for 80+ years - incredible pipeline stability
• Specializing in retail remodel construction projects throughout NC/SC - top clients include Walmart, Publix and Food Lions
• Travel throughout NC/SC - Projects are typically 3 months and then move to another one
• Average employee tenure is 15 years
• $70K to $100K base salary range, 10% annual bonus, $600/month vehicle allowance, 4% 401K match

Description

Traveling Superintendent - Retail Construction - NC/SC will be responsible for:

• Establishes staging plans and manages site logistics and workflow.
• Reviews subcontractor scopes of work, submittals and invoices and provides feedback to Project Manager for compliance and coordination.
• Assists Project Manager in job cost reporting and budget control.
• Collaborates with Project Manager in maintaining and updating construction schedules to identify and solve problems in pre-construction meetings prior to mobilization.
• Prepares daily reports, safety reports, schedules and supervises completion of final punch lists.
• Orders materials and schedules inspections as required or needed.
• Assists with recruiting and hiring needs. Trains field crew members, project engineers and junior superintendents and conducts safety orientations.
• Promotes job site safety and ensures employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy and regulatory requirements. Rectifies any job site hazards immediately.
• Conducts weekly safety and progress meetings.
• Maintains a clean, organized job site at all times including the construction office.
• Performs other job duties as assigned and/or required.

Profile

Traveling Superintendent - Retail Construction - NC/SC should have:

• 2+ Years of retail construction experience with a general contractor
• Knowledge of scheduling, estimating and cost principles
• Basic knowledge of project management software
• Strong time management skills, adaptable with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities

Job Offer

Traveling Superintendent - Retail Construction - NC/SC will receive:

• Base salary - $70,000 - $100,000+ base
• 10% Annual bonus
• $600/month vehicle allowance
• Per diem offered
